Create your village

Well, it’s Monday morning, and I am about to start my new job. I have a little bit of time before I go into my new office. There is a Starbucks near where I work so you can take a guess as to where I am right now. I don’t plan on making a habit out of this, but I thought I deserve to treat myself.

Anyway, on my drive in, I thought about the importance of my village here in my new city.

I haven’t really had one since having kids. I was too tired or stressed to really make this a priority. With our new move, I was determined to have one. Well, I can’t say I didn’t have one in my last city. I did start one with the Mom’s club I joined. I didn’t really get to be super involved as I started my full-time job shortly after moving.

This move, I reached out to my local Mom’s Club before moving. I knew I needed to feel a part of the community even before I got there. Best decision ever.

My Mom’s Club is amazing. I have felt at home here since basically the day we loved here. I am not exaggerating.

I encourage every mom whether you are new to an area and don’t know a soul (like me) or you just need a network of other mom’s.

Find a Mom’s club near you!

P.S. Don’t forget that you are never fully dresssed without a smile.
