Happy Friday!
Every Friday for almost five years I have been posting happy Friday photos on my social networks. It is easy to do, and a fun way to kick off the weekend.
Every once in a while, I think about how my Friday posts originated. My oldest son was born on a Friday. I started off posting happy Friday, my oldest is however many weeks or months old and is doing xyz right now.
Then, my youngest ended up being born on a Friday as well so I continued the tradition of the number of weeks and or months old. I would also post milestone info etc.
It would be silly for me to post how many weeks or months old my boys are now so I just post happy Friday pics.
It is simple and easy so I do it. If it wasn’t, I would forget to do it. Basically, I have learned to not set goals that are unrealistic. If you want to achieve something or change something in your life, make sure the goal is something you have set yourself up to achieve. Otherwise, you are not going to do this. I know this sounds simple but how many times have you made a New Year’s resolution and followed through on it for a few days just to forget about it a week later?
My challenge to you and to myself is to not set myself up for failure. I haven’t really set up any New Year’s resolutions for this year yet, but if I do, I want them to be thought out so I know how I am going to actually accomplish them. In my opinion, the how is more important than the goal itself.
