Don’t forget about yourself 

I saw this image on Facebook, and it is a great reminder. When I went back to work seven months ago, I was so consumed with balancing all of the change of moving to a new city, worrying about my boys (even the biggest boy getting used to his new job) adjusting to a whole new work environment that I just didn’t have/make time for myself. 

After I spent time with my family after work, made dinner, read to my boys, I had little energy for anything else. I actually fell asleep most nights in my oldest son’s bed while reading to him.

Now, I have more energy, but I also realized I might have been so tired because I wasn’t working out much and probably wasn’t eating as well as I should have been.

Taking care of me is a priority for sure. Sometimes it’s easy to forget this, though.
